Network Engineer

Looking for a self-driven highly motivated individual that will work with the network team to maintain and support the Willbros network infrastructure.


  • Provision, install, test, support, and maintain hardware and software for ASA firewalls, routers and switches
  • Design network architecture and maintain day to day network operations
  • Prepare and update technical documentation including Visio diagrams
  • Participate/manage projects that may be undertaken by the network department.
  • Participate in IT budget exercises and make technology recommendations on a regular basis.
  • Manage the IT infrastructure setup for remote project locations.
  • Occasionally, travel to other office locations to setup network/telephony systems.
  • Participate in network on call rotation for weekend and after business hour support when necessary.


  • Minimum 3 years of experience
  • Familiarity with SNMP monitoring tools e.g. Solarwinds/PRTG and configuration backup utilities like Cattools a plus
  • Experience configuring and supporting IP telephony systems based on Call manager/SRST, Unity connection, and CCX a plus
  • Project management experience and knowledge of Microsoft project a plus
  • Experience provisioning MPLS links and configuring QOS/COS on Cisco routers and switches
  • Familiarity with Web filtering software e.g. Websense a plus
  • Experience with Cisco Nexus unified fabric architecture and configuration a plus
  • In depth knowledge of WPA/WPA2, AES wireless standards and controller based deployments
  • Experience designing and configuring DMVPN and static IPSEC VPN environments and policy based routing required
  • Should be able to setup SSL VPN client based implementations and policies
  • Experience with F5 load balancers and WAN acceleration products from Cisco/Riverbed a plus
  • Knowledge and experience working in Azure and AWS environments a plus
  • Experience with on-premise or cloud-based video conference systems a plus
